Virtus.pro have finished on top of group D at DreamHack Winter with a 16-2 victory over Natus Vincere on de_nuke. The randomly drawn map after four vetos wound up being de_nuke, a map that neither Virtus.pro or Natus Vincere were actively practicing on as little as a couple of months ago. Virtus.pro got to start on the significantly easier side of the map, and ran up a 5-0 lead before Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko's team could reply with their first terrorist side round. Natus Vincere's economy was quickly broken by the Poles winning round seven, though Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács's knife kill on Filip "NEO" Kubski gave the Slovak some extra cash.
After Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski scoring three kills to make it 7-1 in a round where Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski was disconnected, the game was paused for a while to sort out his issue. Once game resumed, following a lengthy break, Virtus.pro continued dominant play, as they won all seven remaining rounds, led by Paweł "byali" Bieliński's 17 kills. Snax made matters worse by clutching a one-on-three on the pistol round, and though Na`Vi won a force buy to make it 2-15, Virtus.pro closed the match out a round later. DreamHack Winter 2014Best of 1 Na`Vi will have to play the winner of the match between myXMG and FlipSid3, currently live, to determine the second team progressing to the playoffs from group D. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
